Calibration is a comparison between a measurement (The Standard Reference) and the instrument (Unit Under Test) under a specific conditions. Other important aspects of calibration need to be included deviation, calibrated conditions & the measurement uncertainty.
The calibration of measuring instruments is an essential part to ensure and maintain the quality & safety and we rely it on our daily basis.
When should we calibrate our measuring device?
A measuring instrument should be calibrated under these conditions:
- According to the manufacturer recommendation
- Periodically (annually, quarterly)
